The Center
of Excellence conducts environmental scanning on high growth, emerging,
and economically-critical industries and their related workforce and
occupational needs. Utilizing labor market information, GIS technology,
and industry validation methods, information generated assists in the
strategic planning and decision-making efforts of community colleges in
addressing local and regional workforce needs.
The Center of Excellence also supports regional and statewide marketing activities to increase employer awareness of the economic development services available from community colleges. The Center of Excellence is one of nine-regionally based centers within the California Community College’s Economic and Workforce Development Network. Our services are provided to community colleges in the Inland Empire/Desert region. They include:
Colleges can use our products for occupational program planning,
customized training, aligning curriculum with industry needs, writing
